Open Workshop Date for 2011
TWO DAY OPEN EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP WITH
ALBERT PESSO Co-founder of the Pesso Boyden System Psychomotor®
5-6 December 2011 (non-residential)
Richmond Gate Hotel, Richmond, London TW10 6RP
About the Workshop
This two day workshop combines a focus on the theme of hope and resilience with an experiential opportunity for participants to work on their own personal and professional issues. Individual client sessions (called 'structures' in PBSP®) addressing participant personal or professional issues take place in between short cognitive inputs on the workshop's theme. The thematic inputs and discussion at different points of the two days will explore the psychological consequences of both trauma and unmet basic needs. This is a rare opportunity to work with one of the world's leading therapits who continues to actively refine his theories and approach. Experienced therapists find the precision and creativity of PBSP provides them with an attractive extension of their current practice. Other participants, who may be considering embarking on a therapy training, are also welcome.
MORE ABOUT THE PESSO-BOYDEN APPROACH
The Pesso-Boyden approach to emotional healing offers a unique contribution to the worlds of both psychotherapy and personal/professional development. For those who at vulnerable ages experienced others as invasive or violent, its system respectfully and holistically limits the damaging unbound energies released by trauma. The system also helps to heal the deficits created when basic developmental needs were not wholly met during a person's formative years. "Over the past 40 years, Al Pesso and Diane Boyden-Pesso have perfected an extraordinarily effective technique, PBSP, providing people with experiences that were missing during their growth and development. The artistry of Pesso's 'structures' can be a unique and profoundly life-altering experience." (Bessel A. van der Kolk, M.D., past President of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, Professor of Psychiatry at Boston University Medical School.)
